I have been searching for a pair of the Bugaboo Glacier Sunglasses since 2003, with no success. I am very surprised I never see them listed on ebay. I realize these sunglasses are from the 80's but not being able to find these on ebay is frustrating to say the least! One can find virtually everything on ebay. Were only five pairs ever made?

I have managed to pick up a par of the Vuarnet sunglasses, but the hook sunglass arms are difficult to get used to. I also bought other sunglasses from a seller on ebay recently that claimed they are Glacier sunglasses by Bolle. They have the round lenses but again, the arms are hooks. Here's a pic,

I bought the same ones, and I like the “hooks” ^^ but I find glasses a little clear, I will see whether I can change them by a specialist wink.gif

I think its just like the G-Shock they used early on, they are an older discontinued iteam which tends to be fairly sort after by collectors so when they do appear they go for silly money.

Its a shame on both of these, especially on the watch for me as Ive always liked it but by the time I could afford one they werent available anymore and the used ones get snapped up by GShock collectors

It's very frustating. I haven't looked for the GShock but I feel your pain with these darn sunglasses. I'm just surprised how rare these glasses are on ebay. I use multiple search terms and still nothing. I would like to try out the Bugaboos since they don't have the sunglass arm hooks.

Back in the day, the MECs came with both the regular arms and the hooks.

I'm a huge fan of the show... but have not put together a costume yet.
I found these after doing a quick online search:

Not exactly the same glasses in a pinch I think they will do.

you also have to remember only Jack O'Neill wore these glasses (along with his tan baseball cap)

so, unless you're doing Jack, you don't really HAVE to have these sunglasses...
