You can get the actual one here. $100
http://www.packrat-toyz.com/Tactical%20Gea...p;_headgear.htm Riceball found an alternate vest for about $35 http://www.majorsurplus.com/Police-Sheriff-Vest-P578C48.aspx You have to be careful when buying a cheap knockoff as I found that some of the pouches are sewn on and cannot be removed for repositioning. Yeah, I prob will suck it up and get the real thing, unless I can find something locally that is pretty dead on. Which pocket isn't correct in the knockoff? Of course this comes when I've decided I want a blackhawk medic/util vest. Just another to add to the list. Thanks for the info! |

Generally you want ot make sure the radio pouch, 9mm mag pouches and the shotty pouch (square pouch) can be moved around. Also the genuine deal has a flat collar. All the knock offs have a puffy collar. |

The knockoff that I have is one of the ones that all of the pockets can be moved around, I think it's one of the ones from Majors. Of course, the collar is puffy but if you're a stickler for those sorts of things it should be easy enough to pop the seam, remove the stuffing and sew it back flat. It would take a little effort but I think that it would be worth it for a $65 difference.

Thanks guys. I finally found a vest on ebay today:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=110224808727 Moveable pouches and looks right. And half price, with shipping. Also found a set of black BDU's today at a local army-navy, so I'm just about done! |
