Right now only StargateHero.NET has Non-Regional Teams so this only relates to that site only.

Once you find out which Non-Regional Team you want to join, post in that team's public area and introduce yourself. You should also contact the Team Leader of that Region and let him/her know that you would like to join up. There is a short questioner to get information that the teams need to collect and then the Team Leader will let you know the password to the Non-Regional Team's Private Forums. Please do not share this password outside of your team.

Currently Non-Regional Team have some sort of requirement to join them, depending on what kind of Non-Regional Team they are:

1) Costume Based Non-Regional Teams, require that a member be working toward completing an acceptable costume for that Non-Regional Team. You actually have six-months to work toward completing an acceptable costume for membership. If however you do not met that deadline, your Team Leader can grant you another six-month extension. See the FAQ on Acceptable Costumes for Costume based Non-Regional Team Requirements. Basically it has to be a recognizable Stargate related costume which looks at least 80% correct at 20 feet away. The "20-foot rule" is one that Hollywood uses for Background costumes and props. The Non-Regional Team Leader and/or Team Membership Officer will make the determination if the costume meets their requirements.

Costume Based Non-Regional Teams also require that it members belong to a Regional Team prior to joining.


2) Service Based Non-Regional Teams are based on the branch of military service. Currently we have a team for the US Army, US Navy, USAF and USMC. The Service based Non-Regional Team have two options for membership requirements, but you only have to meet one of them. The first option is that you be current or former member of that Branch of Service. The second option is that you are working on completing an acceptable costume for that Non-Regional Team. You actually have six-months to work toward completing an acceptable costume for membership. If however you do not met that deadline, your Team Leader can grant you another six-month extension. 3) Profession Based Non-Regional Teams. Currently we have only one Profession Based Non-Regional Team, SG-8, which covers Medical Professionals or medically trained. The membership requirement is that all of its members have medical training of at least basic first aid and CPR or be in a medical profession.

Profession based Non-Regional Teams also require that it members belong to a Regional Team prior to joining.

4) Special Non-Regional Teams have their own requirement for membership; please contact the Team Leader of that Special Non-Regional Team. Most do not require its members to be in a Regional Team prior to joining.
