so, who is going...

my current plan is to leave after work (1730). and then travel to richmond, I'm looking at a 10hr drive after a 10hr shift...so I'll get there somewhere around 2 or 3 am

I'm trying to get that friday off from work. but it is not looking good...I'm going to have to do some arm twisting to keep from working that sat, which would prevent me from even making that con

so, post up, let everybody know who is going, and what costume your planning on wearing

Since I am the Dealers Room Director for this one, I have to be there. I will have my off-world and garrison uniforms for this one!

Christine (Angel) and I will be there Friday night, staying throughout. I will be wearing my black offworld and Christine will be wearing the M*A*S*H* style medic outfit .

I know Firebat is going as well, last I heard.

I will be there moving between to cons that weekend. Uniform unkown as of now.

I am just verifying what Riptide has said. I plan to be at RavenCon on Friday.

Can't make it myself, unfortunately. I'm scheduled to work that weekend, and have to save my vacation for DragonCon.

I will be arriving some time late Friday. I have a High School Reunion. What do you have for the table. I have a gate dialing program on my laptop. I also have a full size dummy minus head dressed in black offworld SF gear. My uniform has not been finalized yet I might just leave as a secret.

Ravencon was a complete HIT !!! We had a great time there, with only a few "situations". Overall, I am VERY happy with our display there and we had a good number of potential recruits at our table. I think all of our current team members had a blast being there and the event was a resounding success. Blackjack will be posting up an AAR soon (hint, hint ) and Goomba will be posting up some pics soon (yup...another hint ). Thanks to everyone that helped make this con such a success and I look forward to next year's Ravencon.

I'm glad to hear RavenCon went so well! Ashley and I regret that we were unable to attend...a mixture of my promotion to Salaried Assistant Manager at Pizza Hut and celebrating our first wedding anniversary took up the majority of our time. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the pics and AAR once they're completed...it's been to long since the lunatics on this team posted one of the things.

Well, ATL, next year, you won't be so lucky. It's not happening on your anniversary!

Hey all SG-9'ers (and any one else for that matter) ! It's coming up on RavenCon time again, and I would like to see a large turn-out for this con! I am getting a room, and will more than likely be having a room party. Unfortunately, our Team Leader will be out that weekend on business, so I need the team to pull together and make this happen.

money issues say that this will probably be a no go this year.
If I find a tree that grows money, I'll let you know.

Wish I could be there but, like Blackjack said, I will be in Baltimore on a business trip for the week(end).

I also wouldn 't mind going...were it not the weekend of my second wedding anniversary. It's a shame to mis one so close to where I live, however...

My status is up in the air, at the moment. I have a chance of changing jobs in the next few days. If that happens, I will be able to go to Ravencon, as my business trip will essentially be cancelled. However, should the new job not pan out, I will still need to be in Baltimore that weekend, unfortunately!

Happily, I was scheduled of Federal Jury Duty this week, but the government cut me some slack (for a change), so I'll be in VA on Firday (I think I have a pannel that day). I'll see someone then (for goodness sakes, don't let it be just me and Morgan!)

Ok, just to keep the topic on track and avoid any hurt feelings, I have edited and removed some posts. Questions, you know who to call.........yup: me!!!

Still all is go for RavenCon. Dani and I are pushing out at 9am (about 6 hours to VA, on an easy run), so Mark, we should be there around 3pm; we look forward to seeing you and hopefully having a good weekend.
So far I have two panels on Friday (plus opening cerimonies), and one on Saturday, so unless Dani needs me at the dealers' table, I'm free to help you at the SG-9 table (Dani refers to it as "going out to play with your friends") Until then.

We have family we are visting down that way, which is why we're hitting LibertyCon; from what I've seen on the web, its a hardcore literary Con (no place for SGC costumes); if anyone has gone to this Con, please let me know what it is like. Thanks

My first hardcover military sci fi anthology was released in 2007, "Breach the Hull"; now I'm working on book II, "So It Begins", due out January 2009.

It is defiantly a hardcore literary con. there are some costumes, but not a lot.

I live about 5 minutes from the hotel, so if you bring your bdu's I'll show up in mine. I typically just daytrip libertycon, & I swear that I will try my best to actually make a panel !!!!

Sounds good. I was planning on bring my full kit, so we could do some off-world shots at my in-laws (they lives on a mountain somewere), so for now its a date (I'll tell the wife).

Yes, SOCOM told me he was playing host to you two for dinner (and watch BSG), while we were at the Con. Hopefully I'll get to meet him at Balticon42.

I cannot speak high enough of the hospitality we were privledged to receive from the Commanding Officer of SG-SOCOM. Matt and his wife were incredible and dinner was absolutely amazing.

In less than 24 hours Dani and I will be pushing out for the Con, I'm looking forward to seing (hopefully more of) ya'll characters this year.
This time around they have me on two gaming panels and one MilSciFi (in responce to my new anthology), so I have a light schedule overall, this beside the dealers room.
