Robocop was great, had the whole, I ain't dead yet, thing going on.
Robocop 2 showed just how bad things were getting
Robocop 3 showed what happens when OCP finally tanks and the Japanese move in.
The first live action series never happened. The only actual "body shot" in the entire series was when Robo shot a tracer into a guy's butt. Too much morals, not enough emphasis on what made him Robocop.
Prime Directives looked great, had some of my fav actors in it, but seemed to go to the extreme where violence was concerned. Don't get me wrong, I love a good shoot out and seeing the blood packs pop, but when they aren't taking cover or anything, that's just cannon fodder.
The story was good, plenty of twists but what really got me was, Why the hell was the memory of Murphy's murder locked away? That was the major thing that kept him alive, a major driving force behind the charcter, and lets face it, the first person thing was spiffy. For something that's supposed to take place 10 years after the first movie, they certainly made Robo look more like he was 100. Where's a body specialist when ya need one?
Anyhoo, without further adieu.
