First and for most let me say... This is just some observations from an old dog.. I know everyone has their opionion and this is mine....

FiRst I dont think that anyone meant to hurt or offend anyone by showing some motivation. Laz is motivated because he and I have searched for months trying to find an SG fan club in this area. I had searched for months and finally stumbled accross the board for stargate6.com. Riceball referemed to SGC. and then I found SG13 I have spoken to Adonis several times on the PM and he has always been quite cordial to me. So personally I dont think there was any hard doings on the board before leadership got here.

Now with that being said. Laz and I are both excited because we have found a good place to hang out with other SG memebers. In our circle of friends and network of people working for us at OmegaCon there are ALOT of SG fans. We can easily bring alot of these people over. So Laz got excited and quite frankly I did too. I know people look at it and go why is there not more members from centeral and north alabama.. That is simple... THEY DO NOT KNOW ITS HERE...

So with Laz and I here on this end of SG13 we can do some recruiting to help fill the voids here. I must say I also like the idea of a special ops unit detachment here as well.

On to recruitment... It looks like you guys down in Florda have Megacon.. I am sure that I will do my best to attend. Really Alabama only has one at the moment and that is Constellation in October.. But that will change when we bring in OmegaCon. Therefor we will both have good events to work from

However as we are working with the public we need to bear in mind that we must treat people very nice.. I am sad to say but the saturday at dragoncon I walked up to the SGC table and looked at a piece of equipment. I had some smart alec kid who started yelling at me for touching it.. You know what that made me want to do to him.. Lift him up by his neck and squeeze him till his eyes pop out... Remeber that the only way WE are going to get membership is to gain friends, not make enemies... If someone wants to see a piece of equipment, I would gladly show them as should we all. There is an old saying never bight the hand that is with you today, because it could lead you tomorrow... We must remember that because when we are disrespectful to someone we are potentially loosing a great memeber.

So with all of my ramblings i have but one thing to ask?/ When is my first shore leave LOL...But seriously guys this is just some food for thought....

Trust me. Recruitment will happen. Once I get confirmation the SG-13 private room password has been set, then we can discuss things like that there.

The SGC is good, and they are still brothers. D*C is a very hectic time and a fan table tends to be a holy shrine so don't be too hard on the guy for snapping.

::sniffs armpits::: hummm I have offended obviously if my second has had to apologize for me, so I apologize myself if I have done so. But so many questions and so few answers I shall look through the boards and see what I can find:)
