Hello everyone.

Updates complete!

I've done a few optimizations after the upgrade. We'll see if it makes any difference.

Let me know if any problems with the site as we go. I hope it does fix our recent load issue.

---OLD MESSAGE---

Hello all,

I'm going to be installing the latest update to the board tomorrow, Tuseday 9/9/08. The board will have to be shutdown for approx. 1 to 2 hours for a complete site backup and board software update. I'm also hoping the time the board is locked with allow me to see if I can also find a few more solutions that can slows the excessive hits down.

I plan on starting at 9PM EDT (-06:00 GMT).

If plans change I'll update this thread.

Thanks,

-Tom "Emuz" Rinaldo

Keep it up! This is getting frustrating, I neverseen us have issues like this!

Thanks for the hard work brother!

If this doesn't solve the issue, I might have to move the site from a shared dedicated server to a soley dedicated server, which would drive up the monthly hosting fee from about $60.00 to $140.00 a month, so I'm hoping this works!

Not for the service provider Dan uses sadly. Dan is reluctant to move services again. (I don't blame him)

Hopefully we won't have to cross that bridge.

Hey Tom, personal profiles seem to be borked for me. Could this be related to the other issues?
lostncybr
Yup, I got the same error.

Thank you to everyone who's contacted me. Sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner.

I've just not had a chance to do anything with about it until now. The profile error is caused by the update I did. I've done a little research and we're not he only one's who have it. It's linked in with the themes.

This one will take a bit longer to fix as I have to compare the code from the pre-update to the post-update, the themes and everything else. Right now I've enabled "classic profiles". Basically they are streamlined profiles from previous versions of the board. Fortunately the problem does not effect this mode.

I'll work on it this week and get it fixed. Just be patient as this one likely won't be fixed overnight.

Thanks,

-Tom Rinaldo
