In the later seasons when Matt Frewer joined the cast, there was an odd time travel episode, in which one of the team members, Peter Axxom met a future version of himself.
Turns out after he developed a time travel device, three idiots from his lab stole the device and travelled back to the 1800's to steal gold meant to fuel the civi war effort. History was altered, and the Axxom took it upon himself to right the wrong he was responsible for. Tracking the trio through time and finally finding them in the altered version of his past.
What's funny is, the devices or "Axxoms" as the idiots called them, were made from a spring loaded magnifying glass with a built in light. A transparent sticker was palced over the lens and a pseudo key pad and battery pack added to either side. As soon as I can manage it I'll post reference pics.
Oh, and the actor who played Peter Axxom, also played Lionel Pendergast, and the pilot of Colonial 1 in BSG. Just a bit of trivia for you guys n gals.
