For the trivia buffs...

In the top photo, the gentleman on the far left (next to Erin Gray & Gil Gerard) is the late Buster Crabbe, who originated the roles of Flash Gordon & Buck Rogers in the movie serials of the 1930s.

Crabbe's guest character was named Brigadier Gordon.
Templar
extra trivia:

In the second episode(s) Brigadier Gordon and Buck share a quick conversation in space.

Buck: You're pretty good Genral.

Gordon: I've been at this longer than you've been alive.

Buck: You think so do you?

Gordon: I know so.

Hehe, good catch Brianna, I checked imdb.com after seeing that episode and surely enough it listed the actor as playing Buck Rogers, and Flash Gordon. biggrin.gif
CaptAres
I seen a number of the old buck rogers and flash gordon and they are not to bad for their time

I gotta find my 2003 photo of Gil Gerard.... buck ain't what he used to be.

(Although I do think about Wilma crawling on her hands and knees in that skin tight suit over the letters "Buck Rodgers" in the intro laugh.gif tongue.gif laugh.gif )

I liked Hawk, but he would not have survived at all in any show that wasn't as totally campy as Buck Rodgers in the 25th and a half, century.....errr.. I think I have something confused wink.gif .

I did really like the Hawk in Spencer for Hire though! smile.gif

I've been meaning to post these for a long time, but never got around to it until now:

These are from the season 2 episode Testimony of a Traitor; I'm not sure what color they're wearing... but everything from their boots to their rifles is color coordinated.

I doubt the Fighting 69th would be caught dead in that color.

I just wore this last weekend at the first Albuquerque comic con, the kids had no clue what it was but as I went be the tables the older folks were grabbing cameras shouting "Buck Rogers"!
I was able to get Gil and Erins' autographs on the helmet, they both enjoyed the costume but Erin actually jumped up and came around her table to feel the spandex and said "Oh my god! That's pefrect!".

There's something not screen accurate about your costume... you're missing a head! smile.gif

Other than that, it looks great!

Yep, I was a bit too specific when I asked my oldest to "make sure you get the whole costume in the shot"... laugh.gif
