Back in the late 80's early 90's a cartoon series was created to showcase some of Nintendo's signature characters, Megaman, Simon Belmont, Kid Icarus, and a few others.
In the realm of Videoland, The forces of Mother Brain march on The castle of Princess Lana and her remaining video warriors. Things are desperate, so much so that the Princess activates the "Ultimate Warp Zone" in an attempt to summon a warrior of great skill and prowess to help beat back Mother Brain and her armies.
Enter Kevin, a high school kid with a love for videogames, while playing punch out with his dog Duke, his mother nags at him about cleaning his room. Power surge! A beam of energy shotos from the tv screen and sucks Kevin through, Duke close behind his master.
When Kevin wakes up, everything's different, he's surrounded by his videogame idols *That barely look like themselves*. He has been chosen to become Captain N, the Game Master. Equipped with a special Nintendo controller and Zapper, Kevin has the abilities to pause, jump, rapid fire, dodge really fast, and pretty much anything else a jazzed up controller could do. One problem. The zapper and controller share a power meter and when over used can run out of power completely.
I'm currently working on modifying an old Zapper and busted controller for this very costume. Pretty much all the clothing aspects are easily found.
Red letterman jacket with white sleeves and a black N on the front left
Blue jeans
Yellow mock neck or t-shirt
Converse basketball sneakers
I'll post up some pics as soon as I get the room.

You think that's bad?
Remember the episode where Mother Brain got put inside Donkey Kong, Game Boy, who could fly in som instances was inside Mother Brain's jar, and Donkey Kong ended up in Game Boy. XD

Wasn't Belmont like a valley boy or Arnie type? I seem to remember very dumb.
And didn't they have Bayou Billy for a while?

Are you going to make the light up "power meter" for the controller?
I'm still throwing ideas around in my head on how to pull that off.

while at work i watched soem episodes on Youtube and discovered that the zapper Kevin had has a trigger guard, The real one the Zapper doe snothave one so my question is should i try and make one to ount on the zapper or leave it be , please let me know. Also u can easly attach the controller to a belt buckle with velcro if needed hehe

Your also forgetting the fire selector switch on the Zapper.

I plan on making a trigger guard and attaching it somehow, either with adhiesive or some other method. As for the belt, I'm going to either figure out a belt mounted harness that the controller can slide in and out of when it comes time to change the batteries. If that fails, I'll cut two slits in the sides and run the belt through those.
Holster wise, I'm looking into either moulded plastic or fabric reinforced by thin cardboard.
I've located a source for the Converse sneakers, good ol Foot Locker, but a concrete ID of the t-shirt he wears is proving tricky......it's yellow, that's all I know XD.
