PRE-ORDER FOR SPACE: ABOVE AND BEYOND M590 RIFLE.

This will be a mostly static/stunt rifle replica kit. It will be at least partially hollow cast to reduce weight.
Sling mount points will be thicker resin with metal plates mounted for bettter durability.

Rifle Kit: $150 + Shipping
Complete rifle: $200 + Shipping

Shipping costs will be determined after the rifles have been completed. Since shipping has gone up
a bit in the last couple years, I'd estimate shipping costs to be $30-$50 in the USA but that is
just an estimate.

Money will be collected to raise funds for rifle (moulds/resin), same as was done for the Helmet run.
Proposed turn around time appx. 2-3 months.

Castings will be done by Alchemy Arms.

Pre-Sale special pricing ends: July 31, 2009.

After pre-order pricing:
Kit: $225 (estimated)
Finshed: $325 (Estimated)

After pricing may go up or down (slightly) depending on how many man hours it takes
to do a complete set of parts.

Keep in mind that one fan group was selling replicas like these for appx. $800!

Details:
Most parts will bolt onto the rifle body. It will be a resin based kit. Rifle body may
(actually most likely will...) be partially hollow cast to save on weight.

Moulds will be pulled from a series stunt rifle.

UK shipments will likely be in kit form ONLY so customs doesn't have a hissy fit.

If you want in, post in this thread.

More details as they become known.

PayPal payments to sales@alchemyarms.com(originally payments went to lostncybr@aol.com)

Shipping costs will be determined shortly and collected seperately.

I'm in for 1 unfinished kit, only if the body is hollow ! The shipping for a solid body would
be extortionate !

Why, oh why, do things like this only seem show up when I can’t buy one? I just threw down serious coin for something WW2 for the collection and am saving up for some work on my WW2 Jeep.
Still, I’m curious, this will be solid resin, right? How secure will the anchor points be for the sling mounts? I’d hate to have one and watch the sling rip away and have the rifle crash to the ground (as I’d bet it’d break in several places due to the shape).

Semi-hollow cast. As stated in the first post. wink.gif

Dan K. said that the sling mount points will be thicker resin and may have an additional
metal plate mounted on the inside that you will be able to attach your sling mount points to.

Nice and secure!

Pencil me in for one - can't commit 100% just yet though

Anyone else interested?

I may have to open the offer to the RPF as well if we can't get the numbers needed to get this done.

With some luck, I can afford one Kit in a few days....

...I will have to rob more older women on the street ph34r.gif rolleyes.gif
Rook
Don't rob older women... it's a well known fact that TEENS have the largest levels of disposeable income. Look at all the sales of
video games and Ipods. Of course, you may have to rob more than one.

Robbing Teens is like a box of chocolates... you never know what you'll get. happy.gif

I kid. Don't rob teens. Unless you can get away with it.

Seriously, I'm kidding. cool.gif

Regarding the run... It pretty much hinges on getting the minimum required amounts. They could possibly get by with
only 6 or 7 people, but more is better obviously.

*Updated the payment info in the first posting.*

Russ
Heatshock
as per the otherr thread - if Dan can confirm a pre-sale price on the HEST Lid, I'd prob jump on board with the M590 as well.

would it be worthwhile combining shippin to UK or would posting em separate be better?
Rook
Tough call on the shipping since the helmet is more "round" shaped while the rifle kit is more "flat" shaped.
I imagine though that it could be done with the right size box. Spat ships full Colonial Marine Aliens armor to the UK
with no major issues.

Russ
Heatshock
dammit - cant resist; I want in on this mate
as mentioned on the RPF - is there a payment plan available? I just shelled out for the lid

also..... do you guys think if could be cheaper to bulk ship to UK - there seems to be 3 UK guys interested in these? or is that a stupid suggestion?

We could try a bulk shipment, and ship the body in different shipment to avoid your country's custom's ban on replica weapons.

Also a payment plan is ok too, $50 USD min until the balance due is under $50 USD

Yes, but it will take longer to start and finish.
Rook
No stupid questions, only stupid answers.

I believe Dan K. said on the RPF thread he'd accept $50 payments.

I don't know how much it would cost to ship from inside the UK.

Where is everyone located? You might be able to arrange a meet up somewhere
and pick up your stuff... unless you're all living at the far corners of the continent. smile.gif

i would be in on this

but i think quite a few of us are in the same boat here

we have all just spent our cash on the pilot helmets

if a down payment was possible i could do it but would not able to give the full amount untill the end of next month

what is the turnout time of the rifles ???
Heatshock
from memory - the RPF thread said Dan would take instalments of a min of $50 till the balance was <$50 with remainder due on delivary. Shippin paid as extra when it was finalised.

also sturn around time was stated as 2-3months.

correct me if I am wrong fellas.

Payment sent for one Finished rifle! Wooo!
Harada357
Hello,

I am new to the forum - but have collecting Sci Fi military props since the 70's. I have been looking for the SAAB Rifle since I saw the pilot episode. The resin kits out there were too few, not accurate, or forty pounds of solid resin. There were delays in out of stock items and some were NEVER delivered. Needless to say - I am excited to hear of a new version built off a screen prop. I will buy one as soon as they are available. All I need is an email. I bought two of Wilco's pistol kits - I could not be happier. You will sell everyone produced by simply putting the ads on Ebay. A Web site displaying the product would not hurt either.

I had hoped it would not be 2-3 months out from production. I will send a paypal payment as soon as they are available. Just email me the total cost: Harada357@aol.com

SOLD SOLD SOLD !!!!

Put me down for one kit. (Frakking A, almost forgot about this.....) I'll have at least a payment by next week. I'd like to pay the whole thing next Friday, but rent's due and I'm heading for the Oshkosh airshow. I should be able to finish paying for it next month, though.

Granted, I want all this stuff ASAP, but couldn't you guys space out the projects and associated costs over a couple months? happy.gif

Hey for bulk shipping costs.... Rook, why don't we get ours shipped down here, then you'll have a reason to come down and go to ACES again? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!!

How's next month sound? wink.gif

Right now Dan has limited access to the site and by extenstion PMs, the best way to get a hold of him is to just e-mail him, his e-mail address is in his profile.

Yep, e-mailing Dan directly is easiest. Plus, his paypal info is in the beginning of this thread.

Russ

Unfinished kit- as i am a U.K citizen, i thought it best[just didnt get time to check up on the legality of shipping a completed one -my preference-].
Last time i asked, [for my Morita], a few years ago, it was hard enough then[it depended on the person inspecting it???].With all the changes now, i just couldnt take the chance.
