PROCEEDURE FOR STARTING A NEW DETACHMENT OF A REGIONAL TEAM
Team members in a defined geographical (city, county, state, etc) can request the formation of a Detachment within a Regional Team's area from their Team Leader.
The minimum number to form up a detachment is 4 registered members, unless an exemption is granted by the Team Commandant and Team Leader.
The Team Leader would request permission and file a formal request from the Team Commandant to form up said detachment.
THE FORMAL REQUEST FROM THE TEAM LEADER TO THE TEAM COMMANDANT MUST INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:
1) Designation of the new detachment (example: SG-1C).
2) Justification for a new detachment.
3) Sub-regional area they would cover.
4) Prospective Detachment Leader's Name (DL would select an ADL as his/her first official duty).
5) Names (real and screen) and email address of the detachment members, please denote if they are new members or old members of the Regional Team roster.
The Team Commandant will make a determination if the requested Detachment makes sense to be formed and will either approve or disapprove the request.
If approve, permission to form up the requested Detachment would be granted and the Team Leader notified. The Team Leader will then select and notify the Detachment Leader prior to announcing on the board of the "Official Formation" of the new detachment and who the Detachment Leader will be.
The Site Administrator/CO will create the detachments forum and photo album.
All of this administrative work will help both the Team Leaders and the Site Command Staff.
