Non-Regional Team Requirement

Non-Regional Team currently falls into the following categories: Costume based, Profession based, Branch of Service based, or Special Purpose based.

The Purposes of Non-regional teams are to either promote a specific type of costuming based on an identifiable group use on the either Stargate SG-1 or Atlantis, or is based on a specified professional that was identified on either show, or to honor specific Military branches of service, or to recognize a special purpose that represents an aspect on special niche of the StargateHero.NET organization. Non-Regional Teams are not limited geographically as to where they get their members.

Costume based Non-Regional Teams

Purpose:
1) Have fun!
2) Encouraging others to create a "defined" costume type
3) Helping others create their costumes
4) Planning events and get-togethers (usually themed). Etc.
5) Support and promote actors on Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis
6) Support and promote costuming and Stargate fandom
7) Support and promote the SciFiHero.NET organization

Team membership requirements:
1) Have or be working towards a costume that the team is representing
2) Be a registered member of the SciFiHero.NET site
3) Be a member of a local Regional Team
4) Approval by the Non-Regional Team Leader

Examples of Costume based Non-Regional Teams:
The Jaffa Legion
The Hak'tal (Female Jaffa Warriors)
The Order of the Ori

Profession based Non-Regional Teams

Purpose:
1) Have fun!
2) Providing community service or education based on their give profession (example SG-8 a Medical Non-Regional Team provides blood pressure testing at conventions and basic first aid treatment as needed or as allowed by the convention.)
3) Helping others learning more about a given profession
4) Planning events and get-togethers (usually themed). Etc.
5) Support and promote actors on Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis
6) Support and promote costuming and Stargate fandom
7) Support and promote the SciFiHero.NET organization

Team membership requirements:
1) Be or have been a member of the group’s defined profession
2) Be a registered member of the SciFiHero.NET site
3) Be a member of a local Regional Team
4) Approval by the Non-Regional Team Leader

Example of Profession-based Non-Regional Teams:
SG-8 is defined for anyone in the Medical Profession


Branch of Service Based Non-Regional Teams

Purpose:
1) Have fun!
2) Encouraging others to create a "defined" costume type of a specific military branch of service, as it would appear on Stargate SG-1 or Atlantis.
3) Helping others create their costumes
4) Planning events and get-togethers (usually themed). Etc.
5) Support and promote actors on Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis
6) Support and promote costuming and Stargate fandom
7) Support and promote the SciFiHero.NET organization

Team membership requirements:

Examples of Branch of Service based Non-Regional Teams:
SG-3 represent the US Marine Corps on Stargate SG-1 and in the StargateHero.NET organization.
SG-22 represents the US Navy in the StargateHero.NET organization


Special Purpose Non-Regional Teams

Purpose:
1) Have fun!
2) Providing a service to the SciFiHero.NET organization.
4) Planning events and get-togethers (usually themed). Etc.
5) Support and promote actors on Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis
6) Support and promote costuming and Stargate fandom
7) Support and promote the SciFiHero.NET organization

Team membership requirements:
1) Be a registered member of the SciFiHero.NET site
2) Approval by the Non-Regional Team Leader
3) Be willing to be an active participant in the teams activities.

Example of Special Purpose Non-Regional Teams:
SGC-Research, Development & Engineering is the Propping Team.


Forming a Non-Regional Team

Minimum requirements:
1) 4 or more founding members who wish to form either a Costume based, Profession based Non-Regional Team, Branch of Service Non-Regional Team, or Special Purpose Non-Regional Team
2) All members must meet the defined Non-Regional Team Membership requirements.
3) They must submit a petition to create a Non-Regional Team to the Team Commandant in the form of a PM.
4) The Petition must include the purpose of the Non-Regional Team, names and screen names of the 4 or more petitioning members
5) The petition will be reviewed by the Team Commandant and StargateHero.NET Site Administrator/CO, then place up for vote by the Team Leadership Council.
6) The Team Leadership Council will vote on the matter and if the petition gets a simple majority of votes in affirmative, the Non-Regional Team will be approved to be created.
7) The Team Commandant will select the Team Leader and an announcement will be made, one public forum and private forms will be created and the Team Leader and Assistant Team Leader set up to moderate those forums.
