Right now Laz and I have been talking and I must admit, WOW. You guys seem to be working very hard on this.

Considering forming a local detachment of SG-13, considering the name Omega Strike Team, special ops last resort kind of group. Yes it is a tie in, but they will be showing off at OmegaCon as well which works out. Let me know what you think of the idea guys.

If they will let us, we could go with SG-13D for detachment or go SG-13A for Alabama...lol Wecan call the detachment Omega Strike (I like that), we would just need a designator. May can even go with SG-13 Omega. We will put these options in the petition.

I still say we need SG-13N for Nuthouse.

Once Adonis shows up, we can petition for the detachment and go from there.

I think the detatchment sounds like a great idea to tell you the truth.

But then again I think we have to to many teams and squadrons in the first place and getting overly beaucratic, which was one of the thngs that was f-ed up about the old board.

How long do we want to wait for Adonis to show up before we usrupt his authority?

Well he and the ATL is way past AWOL according to military proticol. I have also sent an email to lostncyber to ask his advice about the situation since we have members still waiting on the official "welcome aboard" and access to private SG-13 forums. Me being one of them.
I bounced the idea of a detachment with vader because we live not too awful far from one another and we were interested in forming a group that actually physically met regularly, not just yearly. But I wouldn't attempt to do it without enough people interested to actually make it work and SG-13 should ALWAYS be the prime mover and who we recieve our orders from. That is when leadership decide to show up.

As to us being AWOL, I can't speak for the TL, but my contact info has been available for some time.

As to detachments, I belive that SG-13 already has a few. I know one became a region, when Georgia left SG-13. While I do like the idea of using the state for the detachments, that is kinda difficult since most of SG-13 is Florida.

I have attended Celebration III and Dragon Con this past Sept... and plan on returning from now on.

I like Stargate and Star Wars....

I am the Southern Order Master for the Jedi Assembly and on the Coucil for the Dark Alliance( Sith costuming group). I would like to get to know as many people on the SG-13 team as I can.

Welcome, Tailon (Brandon). I'm squadron leader for the 113th SFS (part of SG-13). I like SG-1 but I'm also big on Andromeda & Babylon 5... and a little BSG.

BTW, I do have fond memories of Star Wars (the original trilogy), but I'm not doing any extensive costuming in that area.
