Amazing packs, my friend! You just had to go and bring this up didn't you? Now I look back at my neglected pack sitting in my buddies basement. It needs a severe overhaul - it weighs a good 30 pounds or more. Alas, I have not the coin to go all crazy on it. But at least I can look at the pictures and pretend it's easy on the back!

Sorry for the shameless pics, that's who I am. But I am uber jealous of your gear, if that makes you feel better.

Also, starburst - you'd be surprised how little people know what actually goes on the back of a proton pack. You could cheaply throw some project boxes and things on the back and as long as it has those 4 red lights on it, a gun with a hose, and a bunch of wires - people will still go "OH! Ghostbusters, no way!" I've gone through several pack changes and my very first was pretty inaccurate and cost effective and people still got it. That with a very cheap flightsuit and some patches, you could fool a lot of folk. I've made a few uncanon props as well and people still think they saw them in the movie. And you could get a khaki flightsuit now and dye it later to fit more the GB1 color. Basically, if you wanna be bustin' ghosts this Halloween, strap on your macguyver hat and get to it!
Anyone remember that fellow who made a REAL Ghostbusters cartoon pack? That thing was slick.
