Not sure wether this is the right spot to post this, but I took a moment and whipped up a crude busniess card.



Trying to keep it simple I only put one graphic in it, unlike the command cards that had most of my sprites on them XD

Not bad, I could see potental there.

I had a meeting with a local Stargate Meetup type group and rushed to get some business card printed and some flyers. He is what I put together as an interim BC:

D'oh, I knew I forgot something.

The URL and the motto. *sound of palm slapping forehead*

Having a play about and came up with this one.

NICE WORK!!

I really like that one, Scutter. May be a bit "busy" for anyone to print out themselves (without a high res laser printer or something), but if they were profesionally printed, they would rock .

I like it to but it's to big all of that stuff will not print and look like that once the card is printed

too busy for a biz card, but would be nice for a flyer

I already have a flier designed just waiting for one more part that they are looking for

scutter's design looks great except for a few things:

1) as a business card, all the details of the photos will be lost and it will be too busy

2) as a flier, it would look good if it's printed in large size and in color - if you take something like that and reprint it in black and white, and smaller, you have the same problem with it looking too busy

3) the best designs for business cards and fliers/posters are simple and recognizable, and feature one or two striking images - not a slew of them (think movie posters or print ads)...

just my two cents worth...

I think it would be better to have 7 or 8 individual pictures of our folk in "iconic" pictures representing each of the site. The images will be lost when it is reduced in size and printed.


Now for a 2 foot by 6 foot banner, this concept is great and we can even add more images. I would like to have say three iconic images from site with two of them being from the shows and one being from our folks in costume. If we can fit more, the 50/50. Nice work Scutter!

Those are really awesome. I'm flattered to be on the designs.

These cards would be fine for events, but we need some serious business cards as well without all of the graphics. Maybe just the logo in the correct font.

I agree, a plainer business card would look more professional as well as be easier to print. Not to discourage anybody but I really don't think that business card with a lot of images on it would look very good; I feel that simpler is definitely better when it comes to business cards. The banner at the top of the page, or something similar, would work fairly well for a business card or maybe just the logo type minus the starry background and planet.

Not bad concept but I'd change some of the formatting a bit. I'd make the personal info a bit smaller, the logo larger, and probably make the list of sites smaller as well.

I do. But I also like them all. We really have a group of talented people here.
