Only 2 cons I know of within 3 hours of the KC metro area and I'll most likely hit both. Not sure about the ones on the other side of Missouri yet.

It's about a half hour north of Baltimore at the Hunt Valley Marriott. If you follow I85 north of Baltimore, just above Townson and Timonium, you'll see a cloverleaf for the interstate on/off ramps. That's where it is, litterally. The entrance to the hotel parking lot is like, less than 100 feet from the off ramp. And the town isn't even marked on the maps, unless you count the cloverleaf.

Farpoint is held at that same hotel every year - next year's is Feb 16-18. Nice little con, though the Hunt Valley Marriott redecorated this past year and the carpet is blinding, disorienting, and possibly vomit-inducing. GOD-awful ugly. The convention is cool, though, and SG-2 and -11 (now -9) tend to show in force from what I've seen.

Rumor has it BaltiCon will also be there this year, though I don't know the dates - IIRC, it's during Celebration 4?

I have made it out to a Farpoint or two in the past and might just try to make it out again in 2007.

In order of the date of the convention would be nice. That way we can see which con is next. Of course I will be posting that, to see who is going and who is not.

We have ConCave, FantasciCon, and StellarCon coming up, so we need to plan who will be going to what, and what may be expected of the group at each.

I put your list in as my original post (I just did a copy/paste) and did a little bit of editing. I left fanta-sci in as a strike throught, untill we find out more. I'll be at FantasciCon here in town, so I will probably need some flyers to put out, And I plan on handing out more of the mini project patch buttons, they seem to go over very well as freebies

Also looks like the money situation is starting to sort it self out, so currently I should not have much of a problem getting to RavenCon in April...


Lets keep the list updated as much as possible, we dont want to miss an opportunity to spread out the addiction of SG-9 :D:D:D

FarPoint was great this year.

With all of the snow around it brings back some memories of the infamous Snowcon of 2002.

The snow on the roads was not an issue

First, I want to definitely welcome History Follower! Great to see someone from West Virginia.

I definitely want to try to get us involved in cons in WV and get some exposure up there!
