How many of you here noticed the ending of X3 and what ending did you see
Danger Kronk
I saw lameness. How about you?
CaptAres
did you see the ending with magneto trying to move the chess piece or the one
Danger Kronk
Of course I did. I also saw what came after the credits. I still stand by my original judgement.

X3 sucked. I grew up on X-men comics, and while I understand it's hard for a movie to stay absolutely true to the comic book, you don't make huge stretches from the storyline either.

How do you kill off Cyclops? They turned the leader of the X-men into a whiney, lovesick person, who gets offed in the first 10 minutes.

I was soooo looking forward to Juggernaut, but his costume was horrible!

I was even let down by the storyline. A healing drug for mutants? Rogue gets healed???

Why not just do the simple Sentinel storyline everyone wanted?

Ok, rant done... Like I said, I grew up on comics, and the X-men.. and while this movie was stunning to the eye, with all the special effects, it was a letdown in terms of the storyline and what they did with the characters.
CaptAres
if you seen the end we are talking about then you know cyclops is not dead

I've seen the end... I saw Professor X somewhat alive in the end too.

That was just one of my many complaints about the film.
CaptAres
you just gave away the end for those that didn't see it
Danger Kronk
That's why I put a spoiler warning in your title. wink.gif

As for the story, taken for what it was, I liked it. Just not the ending.

As for the characters, A) We didn't actually see Cyclops die. Even if we did, he's died and come back in the comics as well. B ) If Magneto can get his powers back, so can everyone else. C) Jean is the Phoenix. She is meant to die and rise again. It's been done over and over again in the comics. D) Yes, Prof. X's consciousness is temporarily stored in another man's body. That's been done too.

I really wish Bryan Singer would have stuck it out and did this movie.
CaptAres
I agree the story was good

I'm going to watch the alternate ending on the DVDs hopefully this week. I got grab screencaps anyway. I want to do the US Army Mutant Control Troops and chase around Mutants at SD ComicCon! wink.gif
CaptAres
lol you and me both

I'm definately going to make the anti-mutant weapons (pistol and rifle) and the ACU stuff is easy smile.gif
CaptAres
ooo that would be so cool

That would be why the title of this thread is marked *Spoilers* smile.gif
Gary
Not really a big deal but it is something that kind of got on my nerves. This thread is in the Other Costumes and Props forums and the only post relative to that would be Dan's post to say that he wanted to replicate the Anti-Mutant gun and the Military Uniform. Everyone else is talking about the movie. I think this thread would have been better placed in another forum.

Ah... and of course, the Pheonix Force... I understand for the sake of the movie that they had to make the Phoenix Force something more easily understood... but making into a Multiple Personality Disorder for Jean?

Perhaps I'm being too critical.

I would say not critical enough. This director had no business doing a comic book movie..... ever. Let alone one of this magnitude.
Thera
I agree. I hated what they did to Jean Grey. It went against everything they'd been building up for Phoenix in the previous movies. They even did the special effects totally wrong.
CaptAres
yea I agree that one pissed me off, they went totally the other way from the comics
