WOW, great job! I like the L85(A2?), I think it works well with the costume.

I agree. As for the rifle, until you can get an M-590, that L-85 really doesn’t look too badly off with that uniform (you could even get a Steyr Aug, which is canon as they were used in more than one episode).
I’m impressed! You did a good job with that. There are some other minor details with your uniform, but they’re very small. Overall, you did a very good job, much better than other people I’ve seen trying to pull it off, I can assure you of that! I’m glad people recognized it, as the show was so short-lived and fans would have to be well into their 30s to remember it originally now, many people don’t even know of it now.

Your helmet looks like its vacformed. We were looking into do that as well, but we were not willing to lose the details and the fiberglass option came up and we went in that direction.

I don't know how I missed this thread the first time!

Great looking costume!!

Did you scratch build the breather pack yourself? It looks pretty nice!

Can you share any info on the helmet you got? It looks pretty decent for vaccuform!

What did you use for the helmet padding?

Well done!

Hi Again ALL

the helmet was vacformed by myself ( Dan knows about this ) ( Dan ill get back to you in a day or two with all the info on it ;-)

the pack i did from scratch ( some parts were vacformed as well still got the molds for it if any body is intrested :-)
as for the helmet padding i got a few motorbike helmet pads from ebay ( quite cheap ) they fitted great the lights are just a strip of 48 leds run off a 9v block battery
i had to mod the hocky armor as well ( was not the right one for the costume )

One of the nice things about the vacformed hemet is it actually bigger so it will fit us pumkin heads better!
Rook
I think the hockey armor you used looks great! Only someone really anal about detail would notice (looks in mirror). smile.gif

Great job overall, I like it!

Outstanding job on that costume! Nice to see there are still people out there who not only remember, but love the show. Oh, and nice work getting the attention of the Enterprise chick.
