Tyrannosaur TJ
Hi all,

I'm a big JP fan, have been since I saw the movies when I was eight. [Begin Shameless Plug]I also even run a Jurassic Park website called Jurassic Park Legacy (http://www.jplegacy.org) that's dedicated to all things Jurassic Park [/End Shameless Plug]. I have put together some costume guides that can be used for Jurassic Park. The thing about Jurassic Park is that it's easy to custom your own costume to your own tastes, and is a bit cheaper. Khaki shorts/pants and a safari looking shirt is quite easy to come by believe it or not!

Here are some of the examples I have, if any of the images are too big, let me know or just change 'em into a link and I'll resize.

Note: The (*) you see next to the names of Ranger and Security Officer are ranks created to broaden the avaiablity for costumes for Jurassic Park. These costumes were developed to look as true to the films as possible. Below is an example of me, sporting the Security Officer Jurassic Park costume.

Now for those who are daring there's always this attempt for a costume, though personally it'd be hard to get in and out of I'd think and costly to make:

So that's some costuming ideas, I expanded some to give some room for more costuming opportunity, of course if all else fails you can always dress like one of the main human characters or get a really impressive dinosaur costume made. smile.gif

Thoughts? Comments? Questions? Ideas? I'm completely and totaly open to hear 'em. This is something I've been interested in doing for some time too. smile.gif

The hard hats are Fibermetal, but I can't remember what model.

Do you have any ideas on the light Elle used in the bunker (not the Maxa Beam from the T-Rex rescue)? I am pretty sure it showed up agian in City Slickers II. I took pictures around to dive shops several years ago but had no luck.

I'll ask around to a few people see if someone on JPLegacy can identify it for me. I wasn't able to unfortunately.

Here's what the light looks like if anyone else can identify it:

Jurassic Park is lonely in the dark... all the dinosaurs are running wild...

Those of us who live in Florida or Cali near the Universal park can get our hands on the JP patches and clothing easily. Pins too.

My Wife, Tanya also has a JP costume. I'll have her post it tonight smile.gif

Also I got some pictures of InGen's security forces as seen in The Lost World: Jurassic Park:

Grunt/Worker costume:

Looks like a blue BDU jumpsuit w/ nametag strip, InGen Embroidered hat:

Security Officer costume:

So there's some costuming opportunities found in TLW.

http://www.airsoftarms.com/viewproductdetail.php?ProdID=7848 <--- Possible for gatekeeper's vest, but the gas grenade pouches are upside down on the movie vest.

http://cgi.ebay.com/AIRSOFT-HUNTING-TACTIC...1QQcmdZViewItem <---- some of the loading team might've worn this.

Also some of the vests appear to have a "Slit" down the middle. Any ideas?

Yeah, great guide.

I want to have myself a JP costume, as a great fan of the JP trilogy, and future quadrilogy, so thanks a lot !

We're doing a J-Park group for Dragon*Con 2011. I might need some help from my Florida peeps who can get us patches and hats!
